Media Convention

Over the last years, MEDIA CONVENTION Berlin (MCB) has become one of Europe’s most important conferences for the media industry overall. National and international experts from television, film and other media, academics and politicians meet journalists and decision-makers of the digital economy to debate current issues in media and network policy, media market trends, and developments in our media-driven society. The discussions will take place on an interdisciplinary basis and in an open and discursive manner, addressing all societal groups and media types.

2016 was the third year running now, MCB took place together with re:publica, which has become one of the world’s biggest festivals for the digital society. More than 8,000 participants from over 60 countries passed through the gates of STATION Berlin at Gleisdreieck. On a total of 17 stages, with around 770 speakers and 46 percent female participation, the programm spanned around 500 sessions – a unique and inspiring mix of attendees from all walks of life: start-ups and global players, television critics and gamers, net activists, chairs of broadcasting corporations, bloggers, editors, media politicians, administrators and developers …
