Let’s Get Started – Youth-Oriented Programming from ARD and ZDF


In October 2016, the youth-oriented programming offer from ARD and ZDF, aimed at the 14- to 29-year-old target group, will launch. The public broadcaster is venturing into new territory with the project, and as a result has already earned praise – and criticism.

To date, it has been announced that successful YouTubers like Florian Mundt (LeFloid) and Fabian Nolte will help set up the new ARD and ZDF brands. Since March 2016, a blog has sought to stimulate community involvement. Eagerly anticipated by the public, will the new offering be able to deliver what it promises? What incentives do independent YouTubers have to take part in the public broadcaster’s work? And what will the youth-oriented content really look like?
