Incubate TV! Labs, Spaces, Studios
YouTube Spaces have already been built up in Los Angeles, London and Tokyo – and this trend is on the increase. Even established broadcasters and publishers are increasingly using web-only production facilities and formats. For example, ProSiebenSat.1 founded Studio 71 in Berlin, a multi-channel network which produces and distributes the broadcasting group’s online content. Axel Springer also has a TV studio in Berlin which, together with Christian Ulmen, develops new formats. Our questions for the representatives of these content labs: what are the differences in working practices? Why do classic broadcasters and publishers choose to outsource digital products? What innovative formats were developed and did they see market success?
